The Accelerated Sales Program is a comprehensive, sales‑specific training program designed to fast‑track the growth and development of new Outside Sales Representatives/Account Managers. Participants will work closely with White Cap sales leaders in a 6‑12 month program to develop the skills, customer and supplier relationships, and knowledge needed to be successful in outside sales.
Job Responsibilities- Participate in classroom, independent study, and on‑the‑job training to learn the White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
- Prepare and execute account plans.
- Sell White Cap value proposition and products.
- Learn about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
- Enter and process customer orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle consistently more than 80% of the average work week. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be required. An acceptable MVR is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or one to two years of sales or related field experience
- Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members
- Requires strong self‑governance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence
- Competitive nature with a drive to succeed
- Goal‑oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics
- Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities
- Spanish language proficiency
Targeted base salary is $37,000 per year. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation with a starting target of $80,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data.
