Job Overview

Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses, a family‑owned furniture company with nearly 100 years of experience, seeks motivated and goal‑oriented sales professionals to deliver exceptional customer service. This part‑time position offers a guaranteed hourly wage complemented by a comprehensive commission incentive program, with potential earnings ranging from $30 to $50+ per hour.

All new hires undergo an in‑depth paid training program to equip them with the knowledge and skills required for an unparalleled shopping experience.

Schedule

Days, evenings (8 pm*), weekends, and holidays are required.

Responsibilities
  • Exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding service and knowledgeable product information.
  • Greet customers in a timely, friendly, non‑pressured manner.
  • Focus on daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by managers.
  • Attend and contribute to company meetings and training sessions to improve performance.
  • Act as an ambassador for Cardi’s Furniture by generating additional business through networking, prospecting, and social media.
  • Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Enter all sales orders accurately in the system and review with customers for completeness.
  • Perform additional functions as assigned by management.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Ability to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience or knowledge in interior design or sales is a plus.
  • Physically able to stand and move throughout the showroom for an 8–12 hour shift.
  • Maintain emotional composure in professional interactions.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
  • General computer proficiency.
  • Professional dress required.
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements

Work performed in a store environment utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, and fax machines. Employees may use a personal cell phone for customer contact and a personal computer tablet for room sketching. Responsibilities include repeatedly walking or standing on the showroom floor, standing for extended periods, using hands to handle or feel products, and lifting/carrying items up to 30 pounds.
