Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Agency Sales Representative role based in Hooksett, NH. The Agency Sales Representative will build and manage relationships with employers and brokers, identify new business opportunities, and present Colonial Life’s benefits solutions to prospective and existing clients. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and networking, conducting needs assessments, delivering sales presentations, and guiding employers through plan design and implementation.
The role also involves coordinating enrollment activities, collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely service, and providing ongoing support to clients and their employees. The representative will track performance against sales goals, maintain accurate records in CRM systems, and stay informed about product updates, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Proven sales, business development, or account management experience, ideally in insurance, financial services, or employee benefits.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex benefit solutions in a clear and engaging way.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships through networking, cold outreach, and in-person meetings.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple client accounts, deadlines, and priorities.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM tools, virtual meeting platforms, and basic productivity software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented work style with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering excellent client service.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and respect for diverse clients, colleagues, and communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- State life and health insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe, as required by local regulations).
- Willingness to travel locally for client meetings, presentations, and community or networking events.
