Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic – Eckhardt & Johnson, LLC

Location: Hooksett, NH

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (plus benefits)

Responsible for ductwork installations at job sites under the direct report of the field foreman. Duties include effective communication with co‑workers, project foreman and other contractors/subcontractors, adherence to safety procedures, quality production & cost control, and other duties as necessary to facilitate the completion of assigned jobs in a timely manner.

• Perform daily mechanical installations following project plans, specifications, and local/state codes.
• Ensure all work meets E&J standard of quality and manufacturer instructions.
• Request equipment, materials, and tools ahead of time; submit material requests to foreman by noon and 2 days in advance.
• Maintain positive relationships with co‑workers, clients, and on‑site contractors.
• Maintain project documents, equipment, tools, and materials; keep an accurate tools list and secure tools at day end.
• Accurately record time worked.
• Demonstrate pride in work ethic and workmanship.

• 1+ year experience working on commercial HVAC projects.
• 10‑hour OSHA card.
• NH Gas Fitter’s License or willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, product and equipment submittals.
• Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, gas, ADA, and energy codes.

Noise, dust, welding flash, temperature variations and difficult‑to‑access areas are part of some job sites; protective gear is required when necessary.
