Bear Hand Construction is looking for a skilled carpenter to join our dedicated team in the residential remodeling industry. Bear Hand is a veteran-owned small business with a reputation for quality and transparency. We provide design-to-finish services for all residential remodeling projects with a specialization in whole home remodel & reconstruction. We serve the Southern New Hampshire territory with most projects located within 45 minutes of Deering, NH.

We are looking for a candidate that is knowledgeable in all facets of general construction with a strong emphasis in residential remodel (framing, finish carpentry, drywall, painting, exterior work, etc.) to construct and direct crews and resources in an efficient and quality manner. Our desired candidate is a leader in the field, not afraid to take on new challenges, a problem solver, and can teach and grow less experienced tradesmen.

• Read, understand, and develop construction plans, scopes and designs in the field.
• Manage in-field personnel and subcontractors.
• Complete a variety of construction activities with speed, precision, and quality.
• Excellent attention to detail, perfectionist and pride in work.
• Conduct all construction-related activities in compliance with current codes and addendums.
• Comply with OSHA safety requirements and supervise personnel in the field.
• Work with project managers on changes or issues of projects and develop solutions.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Present a clean and neat appearance.
• Communicate with customers on a regular basis.

• 10+ years of experience required; 15+ years preferred.
• Heavy emphasis on high-quality framing.
• In-depth knowledge of current ICC building codes.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 50 lb and conduct moderately demanding tasks for a sustained period.
• Skilled/knowledgeable in general carpentry tasks.
• CSL, OSHA-30, RRP and additional certifications are a plus.
• Pass a criminal background check for major offenses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
