Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Suncook, New Hampshire — providing a stable company for your career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.
Hourly Pay: $38.60 per hour
Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification up to $700
Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
Sign On Bonus: $3,500
Schedule:
Sunday–Wednesday 4–10 hour days
Hours:
Second Shift 2:00 pm – 1:00 am

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification; post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools, required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
- Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
- Three (3) years or more relevant work experience (preferred)
- All other certification required by location (required)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑duty and medium‑duty equipment
- Knowledge of and ability to apply computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Must be able to obtain a CDL within six months after hire
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including:
- Standard and preventive vehicle maintenance
- Diagnosis of complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable
- Completion of complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
- Replacement of defective components as instructed
- Assumes unsupervised work on most tasks
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints once assigned a task
- Utilizes key functions of the Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Works in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (e.g., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Acts as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Demonstrates the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Other support duties as required to support operations, including Service Island support
- Acquires SBTIII training within 180 days (SBT
220) - Completes two OEM online diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location fleet mix within 365 days
