Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Repairs and maintains building systems, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
Observing mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusting functional parts of devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Repair or replace defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts. Start devices to test their performance. Use welding equipment, machine tools and hand tools to repair machinery and equipment throughout the facility. General maintenance work such as routine plumbing, electrical carpentry, painting and preventative maintenance as needed. Initiate Material order requests for parts and machines. Repairs minor electrical problems under the supervision of the plant electrician.
Perform other related duties as required. What will help you thrive in this role? Qualifications Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to push up to 75 pounds, bend, kneel, and climb as needed. Technical
Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical systems and plumbing. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with PVC, CPVC, and black steel pipe is preferred.
