Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of general and technical maintenance, repair, and improvement work across Loon Mountain Resort's buildings and facilities. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that supports all trades within the Building Maintenance and Electrical department - including carpentry, painting, plumbing assist, electrical assist, HVAC support, and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining a safe and well-functioning resort environment for guests and team members.

ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general and technical maintenance and repair work across all resort buildings and facilities including carpentry, painting, and structural repairs.
- Assist the Plumber and Electrician on new installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks as directed.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, heating system, and appliance repairs within the scope of the position.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as assigned; identify and report potential issues before they become failures.
- Complete a variety of interior and exterior painting projects throughout the resort including surface preparation, priming, and finish work.
- Respond to building and facility maintenance emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of functions and special events as needed.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on all project sites and in department work areas.
- Assist other resort departments with maintenance needs as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and department leadership regarding task status, material needs, and any safety concerns.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and guest-friendly attitude in all resort interactions.
- Attend all required company and department training programs.
- Contribute to team effort by participating in safety meetings, job sharing, and accepting diverse assignments as operational needs require.
- Meet service level objectives and departmental goals as established by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
- Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times.
- Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
- Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies.
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
