Fueler

US Foods is hiring a Fueler to support our high-volume wholesale food service distribution fleet. In this role you will safely fuel tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units, perform routine fluid checks, and complete basic equipment inspections to keep our trucks road-ready. You'll accurately document fuel usage, follow strict safety and environmental procedures, and communicate equipment issues to maintenance and operations teams. This position is ideal for safety-focused, dependable candidates who thrive in fast-paced, nighttime or early-morning distribution yard environments.

Responsibilities

• Refuel diesel tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units to support nightly delivery operations
• Perform routine fluid checks, top-offs, and basic inspections on fleet equipment
• Inspect fuel systems and report leaks, defects, or safety hazards to maintenance leadership
• Complete fuel logs, mileage records, and equipment checklists accurately and on time
• Follow all company, DOT, EPA, and safety procedures for fueling, spill prevention, and PPE use
• Operate fuel island equipment, hoses, pumps, and yard vehicles safely in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate equipment issues promptly with drivers, dispatch, and maintenance teams
• Support general yard and equipment cleanliness, including fueling area housekeeping
