The Floor Works is a locally owned flooring company committed to quality flooring, expert installation, and exceptional customer service. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and helping projects come together from plans to installation.

• Review floor plans, specifications, field measurements, photos, and project documents to determine flooring requirements.
• Perform accurate material take-offs and estimate material and labor costs.
• Determine installation methods, layouts, and directions.
• Create detailed estimates using flooring software such as Measure Square. We’ll train the right person on Measure Square.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information and help find solutions.
• Prepare and manage change orders.
• Work closely with sales, installers, contractors, and vendors to keep projects on track.
• Prepare project files, drawings, installation instructions, and other documentation.
• Visit jobsites to check completion, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Help address installation issues and callbacks with subcontractors.
• Look for ways to improve our estimating processes and efficiency.

• Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, change orders, and related project documents.
• Background in flooring installation, residential or commercial construction, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Prompt, responsive, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

You don’t have to know Measure Square to be successful here. We’ll train the right person who has strong flooring or construction knowledge, pays attention to the details, and enjoys solving problems.

We’re a hands-on team, and everyone helps where needed. This may include receiving deliveries, preparing materials for jobs, helping load orders, maintaining the warehouse and forklift, occasional small jobsite deliveries, and helping coordinate vendors and company vehicles.
