Direct Support Professional II - Children's Congregate Care

Join Crotched Mountain School as a Direct Support Professional II – Children's Congregate Care and help create a safe, structured, and engaging residential experience for students with diverse needs.

Pay: $20.50/hour New Hire Sign-on Bonus: $2,000

As a DSP II – Children's Congregate Care, you will support students in a residential setting, helping them build independence through structured routines, skill-building activities, and daily living support. This role requires a higher level of experience and responsibility, including mentoring staff, coordinating with education teams, and ensuring consistency across residential and school programming.

Responsibilities Residential & Daily Living Support
  • Assist residents with daily routines, including hygiene, dressing, and personal care
  • Ensure students are supported in a respectful, dignified manner
  • Help maintain a clean, organized household environment (yes, sometimes that means pitching in on chores)
Program Implementation
  • Align residential services with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Plan and supervise activities tailored to each student's abilities and interests
  • Support participation in structured programs and daily schedules
Student Engagement & Advocacy
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment for students
  • Advocate for and protect student rights in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with families, guardians, and team members
Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and behavior support sessions
  • Provide guidance or mentorship to newer staff as needed
  • Accept and apply constructive feedback professionally
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete all required documentation, data collection, and record-keeping accurately and on time
  • Follow all safety, program, and regulatory guidelines
