Mountain Valley is a nonprofit residential treatment program in Plainfield, New Hampshire specializing in evidence-based care for adolescents and young adults whose lives are significantly impacted by anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and related disorders. Focused on helping young people build skills, resilience, and confidence through individualized clinical therapies and supportive community living, the center’s mission is to empower residents to “make fear less” and re-engage meaningfully with life and relationships.

Residential Youth Counselor
at The
Mountain Valley Treatment Center provides direct daily support, supervision, and mentorship to adolescents and emerging adults in a short-term, evidence-based residential milieu designed for youth with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Counselors help residents with daily living needs, facilitate therapeutic and experiential activities, and assist with implementing clinical strategies to support treatment goals within a safe, structured, and nurturing community environment.
Minimum Qualifications: You must meet
ONE
of these requirements:
- An Associate Degree or higher degree with at least 12 credits in the field of human services, psychology, therapeutic recreation, education, or related field.
- Or 2 years of experience working with children.
- Or a combination of credits & experience.
- Or 7 years of parenting experience.
Other Requirements (you must meet these for employment):
- Valid driver's license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Satisfactory completion of background and applicable pre-employment checks.
