We are looking for a reliable Lifeguard On Call to ensure the safety of patrons at our facility. Responsibilities include successfully completing the International Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements, maintaining constant surveillance of patrons, and reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations. The role involves providing emergency care and treatment until the arrival of medical services, maintaining a professional appearance and attitude, and performing maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe facility.

Additionally, the Lifeguard will prepare activity reports, handle or refer problems to the Manager, and attend department meetings as scheduled. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patrons.

• Successfully complete the International Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure a patron’s safety during an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Perform maintenance duties as directed to keep the facility clean and safe.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports and daily log of events.
• Handle or refer other problems and situations as they arise within the facility to the Manager.
• Prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Attend department meetings as scheduled with department staff.
• Maintain continuous observation of pool, deck, and surrounding areas to report and correct safety hazards promptly.
• Organize work areas efficiently.
• Ensure that all opening and closing duties are completed, e.g., locking areas, turning off equipment and lights, etc.

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Previous lifeguard experience and lifeguard certification required.
• Must be available to work Memorial Day Weekend.
