A Gymnastics Team Coach represents the YMCA as a team leader in gymnastics. The primary responsibility is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable gymnastics class to participants of a variety of ages. Gymnastics Instruction will be based on the USA Gymnastics Competitive Development as well as Xcel Program.

• Plan structured competitive team activities to stimulate the growth and development of participants utilizing YMCA values and the character development initiative
• Teach both routines, skills and drills to Level 3 and 4 as well as Xcel Team Members
• Develop team workout plans to ensure efficiency and that each child has the opportunity for advancement
• Intentionally communicate with parents/participants regarding the progress of the gymnast
• Effectively teach USA Gymnastics skills with age appropriate safety and properly using demonstrations and equipment
• Maintain a safe environment; responsible for the supervision of their students within the class structure
• Assist with conditioning exercises for competitive team
• Flexibility to teach preschool and progressive gymnastics classes to help build the future of the competitive program is preferred

Must have a minimum of 2 years + of coaching USA Gymnastics for both Xcel and Development Programs
