Position: CDL Class A Shuttle Truck Driver - $99,000/year

Performance Food Group is hiring a CDL Class A Shuttle Truck Driver to support overnight and/or regional shuttle routes for our wholesale food distribution operations. In this role, you will transport loaded and empty trailers between distribution centers and customer locations, ensuring on-time, accurate, and safe delivery. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, maintain required logs and documentation, and comply with DOT and company safety standards.

• Average yearly pay is $99,000
• Sunday - Thursday Nights
• Up to $2500 sign on bonus (terms and conditions apply)

As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You may drive a tandem trailer, tractor trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). You will communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally to ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; inspect and ensure safety standards are met.
• Report safety issues and repairs required.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; inspect trailers and secure freight.
• Manage route paperwork and dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule; perform hook/unhook procedures.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers; ensure equipment and freight are secured.
• Handle damaged goods and customer returns; complete necessary paperwork.
• Unloads materials and maintains cleanliness in tractor and loading areas.
• Record hours of service in compliance with DOT/state requirements.

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6 months of commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meet all licensing and certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday – Thursday nights
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move cases/freight of varying size and weight

Performance Food service, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains relationships with local customers including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries.
