Join our team as a Roll-Off Driver and become a vital part of our waste management and recycling operations! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of various types of freight, including construction debris, industrial waste, and recyclable materials. Your expertise in truck driving combined with your commitment to safety and efficiency will ensure smooth delivery and pickup services across designated routes.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and contribute to environmentally responsible waste disposal.
- Safely operate roll-off trucks and other heavy‑duty vehicles such as dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, and tractor‑trailers to transport freight efficiently.
- Load and unload containers, ensuring proper handling of freight including recyclable materials, industrial waste, or construction debris.
- Drive route‑specific schedules with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining timely deliveries and pickups.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Assist with securing loads using appropriate equipment like forklifts or load straps when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Proven experience in commercial driving environments with a focus on truck driving, including tractor‑trailer operations.
- Strong knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and proficiency in operating various heavy‑duty trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, and roll‑off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with route driving strategies.
- Physical ability to handle freight handling tasks including lifting heavy containers or materials when required.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting freight and operating heavy machinery.
