The Staff Accountant ensures the financial health of our dealership by maintaining accurate records and supporting the finance team in daily operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced automotive setting.
Key Responsibilities- Financial & Operational Accounting: Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, complex reconciliations across locations/e-commerce, and AP/AR.
- Compliance & Strategy: Analyze financial data for strategic insights, manage tax filings, and ensure adherence to environmental/industry regulations.
- Inventory & Process Improvement: Oversee inventory accounting for auto parts/scrap and drive improvements in accounting systems.
- Mentorship: Review work of junior staff.
- Education/
Experience:
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 3–5+ years of experience (automotive/recycling preferred). - Technical
Skills:
Advanced Excel and proficiency in Quick Books or ERP systems. - Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Credentials: CPA or CMA preferred.
