Job Shift: Day
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Ability to come in early, stay later, or work weekends when needed for callouts or coverage.
- Previous supervisory experience and/or knowledge of a senior retirement community or healthcare setting is required
- Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions
- Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a healthcare setting
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Typing skills and computer knowledge
- Prior MS Office experience, including Word and Excel
- Complies with and promotes all rules regarding residents’ rights
- Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork with peers and other departments
- Contributes to meeting the fluctuating staffing needs of the department through flexibility in assignments and work schedules
- Attends all mandatory education and in‑service programs as indicated by attendance records
- Engages in positive customer service interaction with residents, families and visitors
- Takes ownership of an error in delivery of service and works to correct the problem
- Displays good attendance and is punctual
- Communicates with and educates Security and Front Desk Staff on changes to workflow, special tasks, and other important information
- Answers telephone; delivers messages to residents, etc., as necessary
- Welcomes all visitors; ensures use of Accushield for visitor registration, nametag printing, and adherence to Covid infection‑control practices
- Ensures the accuracy of resident data in Accushield daily; reports any system or software issues to the Vice President of Mary Wade Healthcare immediately
- Oversees the inflow, outflow, and internal delivery of mail and packages for staff and residents
- Ensures visitors feel welcome by directing them to resident rooms, office areas, etc., as necessary
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment in the lobby at all times
- Directs all lobby traffic, including residents returning, EMTs picking up residents, guests arranging for meetings, vendors, and contract workers, and residents assembling for out trips
- Provides administrative support to department heads and the Clinical Administrative Assistant as needed
