Urgent Clinical Receptionist – New Haven

A growing multi‑specialty medical practice is seeking a Clinical Receptionist / Intake Coordinator to support patient intake and administrative operations within a busy health‑care environment. The role involves working closely with new patients, managing records, supporting referral processes, and ensuring a smooth front‑desk experience.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate intake processes for new patients, including intake calls and meetings.
  • Obtain, review, and organize patient medical records and charts in a timely manner.
  • Manage patient records and data, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Work with referral sources to coordinate referral processing.
  • Support front‑desk operations and administrative workflows.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage communications by phone and other channels.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record systems.
  • Collaborate with clinical secretaries and administrative staff across multiple office locations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a fast‑paced health‑care setting.
  • Assist with basic project management tasks for administrative processes and workflow improvements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of medical office or healthcare administrative experience.
  • Experience in patient intake, scheduling, referral coordination or front‑desk work.
  • Proficiency with patient intake processes, including intake calls and meetings.
  • Ability to manage patient records, charts, and data accurately and confidentially.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, referral sources, and internal staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and high level of professionalism.
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating within a team.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in other healthcare or dental office settings is welcomed.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
  • Experience supporting front‑desk and administrative workflows in a clinical setting.
  • Exposure to project management activities related to administrative operations.
Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $20.00 – $28.00/hr.
