Full Time Nights Friday-Sunday 7pm-7am

The Scheduling Assistant ensures timely, accurate, and complete performance of all department clerical responsibilities and functions.

High School Diploma or GED.

None.

Minimum 1 year of related experience.

• Working knowledge of general medical office procedures and medical terminology.
• Effective skill in operating a computer.
• Sound interpersonal and oral communications skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective manner.

• Performs and completes department clerical responsibilities and functions.
• Answers, screens, and directs telephone calls and inquiries in a timely manner.
• Relays information to other staff members related to scheduling, as appropriate.
• Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other documents according to established protocols.
• Files documents, reports, and other correspondence according to established protocols.

Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.

• Works directly with patients and/or customers.
• Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
• Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
