As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring they receive exceptional service while effectively managing their vehicle maintenance needs. Your expertise in automotive service and customer relations will be essential in providing accurate estimates and facilitating communication between customers and our service technicians.
Duties- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including oil changes, shocks and struts replacement, and other vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Prepare accurate estimates for repairs and services based on customer requests and vehicle assessments.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Manage customer inquiries regarding service status, pricing, and recommendations for additional services.
- Utilize sales techniques to promote additional services that enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to foster a positive customer experience.
Ideal candidates will possess a background in automotive service management or related fields. Key skills include:
- Proficiency in auto estimating and understanding of various automotive services such as oil changes, shocks, struts, auto body repair, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle needs.
- A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
