, a business of Element Solutions Inc. The position is based in the Wafer Level Packaging Supply Chain division of our manufacturing unit.
- Utilize MRP systems (JDE) to analyze demand, generate purchase orders, and schedule deliveries based on production requirements.
- Maintain the Supplier database in the ERP system, handling supplier setup, item cross‑reference, lead‑time, payment terms, MOQ, safety stock, etc.
- Become a power user of the Esker system for non‑inventory items, services, etc.; serve as the on‑site point for purchasing enquiries.
- Monitor inventory levels, track usage patterns, and adjust procurement strategies to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Evaluate supplier performance, report on time delivery for critical suppliers, maintain vendor relationships, and identify cost‑saving or process‑improvement opportunities.
- Review invoices, goods receipts and purchase orders; perform a three‑way match with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with procurement and supplier quality engineers to ensure acceptable supplier performance.
- Approve purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, follow up on acknowledgements, and ensure on‑time delivery; regularly check the Open Order Report and communicate delays or issues to the supervisor.
- Work cross‑functionally with production, logistics, quality assurance, sourcing, and finance to align Buyer/Planner activities with schedules and goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding material availability, delivery status, and potential supply‑chain disruptions.
- Actively participate in meetings, provide insights, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and performance.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identify improvement areas, and implement best practices to optimize procurement processes and resource utilization.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or another STEM discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply‑chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- High proficiency in an ERP (preferably JDE or Oracle) with a focus on MRP‑based purchasing, especially for high‑value material.
- Accomplished Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform trend analysis, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail‑oriented, accurate, and process‑compliant.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous‑improvement methodologies is a plus.
