OverviewThe Coordinator 4 is responsible for managing a diverse range of services, activities, programs, and operations impacting multiple departments or units. This role involves coordinating events, handling logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring smooth operations. Key responsibilities include organizing and supporting workshops, seminars, and other events, managing communication channels, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The Coordinator also assists in developing processes, maintaining digital content, and supporting research initiatives by preparing proposals, managing grant application processes, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
The role requires a high level of organization, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve strategic objectives.
The focus for this role is the Restricted Party Screening process as outlined in Yale’s procedures, which is a primary mechanism for vetting external partners. This role will assess the effectiveness of the screening workflow and provide recommendations to streamline and standardize the process institutionally. The Coordinator assists in developing, updating, and documenting standard operating procedures as needed to ensure consistent and efficient implementation.
RequiredSkills and Abilities
Education and Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience, preferably in restricted party screenings, research compliance, or higher education; demonstrated familiarity with institutional processes, policies, and procedures; and experience in a university setting with a background in research integrity, research security, sponsored projects administration, or faculty affairs.
Principal ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
