Position Overview

Working closely with the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will play an integral role in the successful delivery of a major multifamily residential project. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing all phases of construction from project startup through closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and owner representatives
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and project documentation
  • Assist with procurement, budgeting, cost tracking, and monthly requisitions
  • Monitor project schedules and help maintain project milestones
  • Work closely with field staff to resolve issues and support daily construction operations
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action items
  • Maintain accurate project records utilizing Procore and other project management software
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Griffon’s high standards of quality
Qualifications
  • 5–7+ years of experience in commercial construction with a focus on ground-up multifamily residential projects
  • Experience on projects of 100+ residential units strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, procurement, and project controls
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and standard construction management software
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
