DescriptionSeeking a skilled professional to provide preventative dental care and assist in treatment planning. This full-time position requires on-site work and encompasses duties related to dental hygiene, patient education, and operational tasks.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current Connecticut registered dental hygiene license
- Dental hygiene local anesthesia certificate preferred
- Current CPR certification
- One year experience as a dental hygienist preferred
- Familiarity with dental billing and coding procedures
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene
- Provide preventative dental care to children and adults
- Apply fluorides and cavity-preventing agents with dentist oversight
- Maintain and sterilize dental instruments
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance policies
- Collaborate on operational tasks and quality improvement initiatives
- Complete required trainings and other tasks as assigned
