Join our design-forward, multi-disciplinary, community-minded architecture firm based in New Haven! We are seeking bright, creative, energetic, kind, collaborative, curious, and hard-working designers to join our team at Atelier Cho Thompson.
We are an award-winning bicoastal, multidisciplinary design and concept firm, engaged in the art of architecture, interiors, graphics, brand strategy, furniture, installations, and exhibitions. Most recently awarded AIACT’s Project of the year, we are recognized among the best young firms globally by outlets like Dezeen and Architizer, and at the same time we are deeply engaged with our communities in New Haven and San Francisco.
Join our design practice as a full-time Project Architect based in our New Haven office. Our portfolio ranges from cafes & restaurants, commercial & institutional projects, schools, cultural spaces, and residences to public projects, installations, environmental graphics, branding, and furniture.
Requirements:
Completion of bachelor’s or masters degree in architecture from an accredited US architecture program.
License to practice architecture is a plus.
Ability to meet deadlines and to complete tasks accurately with strong attention to detail.
Experience producing design, permit and construction documents, specifications, etc. and managing a team. Excellent technical knowledge & facile at coordinating consultants.
Construction administration and project management experience.
Familiarity with state and local building codes and accessibility requirements.
Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite a must. Also seeking someone with experience with AutoCAD, Enscape and/or Lumion, and Rhino with outstanding graphic presentation skills.
Interest in multidisciplinary design, shifting gears, and wearing multiple hats.
Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication, and leadership skills. Must be a calm, positive team player and work well with others.
Fluency in English is required.
