Position Summary
The Summer Curriculum Facilitator supports teachers in the implementation of the NHPS curriculum, instructional resources, and district learning expectations during the summer learning program. Facilitators provide real-time coaching, assist with lesson planning and instructional alignment, and work directly with students in small-group settings to strengthen teaching and learning across district sites.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Teacher Support & Instructional
Coaching:
Support teachers with the implementation of district-approved curriculum and instructional materials; model effective standards-aligned instructional practices; collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, pacing, and differentiation strategies; provide timely instructional feedback and problem-solving support; assist in maintaining curriculum alignment within and across grade levels. - Student Support:
Facilitate small-group academic support aligned to program learning goals; use data to identify student needs and tailor intervention strategies; support diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students requiring targeted intervention. - Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with site leadership, teachers, and support staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery; participate in required training sessions, planning meetings, and professional learning; communicate instructional needs, successes, and challenges to program administrators. - Documentation & Monitoring:
Support teachers in gathering and organizing formative assessment data; maintain logs of small-group instruction and student progress; submit weekly summaries as required by the program administrator. - Other duties as assigned by the Building Leader.
Required:
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum implementation and instructional best practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience in coaching, teacher leadership, or curriculum facilitation
- Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse student populations
- Deep understanding of effective pedagogy
- Ability to model high-quality instruction
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Flexibility and responsiveness in dynamic instructional environments
- Commitment to equity, access, and student achievement
Must be able to commit to working the entirety of Summer School, including the Professional Learning days leading up to the first day of Summer School.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour.
