Extended School Year - Non-Certified Instructor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the Extended School Year

non-certified instructor, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the building lead or program director for the duration of the program:

* Implement all components of the NHPS Extended School Year Service.

* Supervise students as assigned in IEP.

* Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio.

* Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

* Monitor and record student attendance.

* Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leader.

* Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress.

* Maintain professional relationships with building lead, curriculum lead, parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders.

* Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NHPS

* Ability to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students.

* Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills

* Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher, or NHPS substitute experience

* Compensation: $17.50 per hour

Preference will be given to applicants who have worked previously in ESY
