Position Summary

All teaching faculty members shall prepare and teach college‑approved courses in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, including developing syllabi, reading lists, and keeping each course taught complete and up to date. They will respond to and work with multiple constituencies—students, peers, and external agencies—and perform departmental responsibilities in the selection of texts and related teaching resources, as well as other teaching and related duties outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
  • Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes
  • Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising
  • Develop curriculum and periodically review and update instructional materials
  • Assist with program reviews and accreditation‑related activities
  • Plan and execute program‑related events
  • Attend workshops, trainings, and/or professional conferences to maintain currency in the field
Program Coordinator Duties
  • Recruit, advise, and retain students in designated program areas
  • Select appropriate part‑time instructors
  • Schedule program courses
  • Hire and evaluate faculty
  • Establish and cultivate partnerships with local organizations and employers
  • Arrange and supervise student internships
  • Assess, evaluate, and continuously improve the program
  • Perform other duties as appropriately assigned in accordance with contract hours and the collective bargaining agreement
  • Utilize release time, as specified in the collective bargaining agreement, to perform required administrative functions
Clinical Coordinator Duties
  • Administer the clinical practicum for assigned students within the discipline
  • Provide clinical instruction and document evaluation and performance progress toward clinical competence
  • Coordinate and evaluate students’ clinical experiences
  • Advise students regarding clinical and academic requirements
  • Administer and enforce existing program policies
  • Conduct student recruitment and orientation activities
  • Provide clinical and academic instruction to students enrolled in the program
  • Supervise clinical instructors
Additional Responsibilities
  • Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies
  • Service on assigned committees and task forces
  • Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational, and professional meetings, which may occur during evenings and weekends
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiology or a related discipline
  • Three (3) or more years clinical experience as a radiographer
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an instructor in an accredited Rad Tech Program
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration and CT Radiographer License
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Radiology or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching a variety of radiography courses in a didactic and clinical setting
