Job title:
Sales Training Specialist

Location:

New Haven, CT (Onsite)
Duration: 6-month Contract to hire


Core Responsibilities:
Collaborates with subject matter experts on developing training materials, including manuals, PowerPoint presentations, job aids, checklists, and other educational materials.
Coordinates scheduling and preparation of training sessions.
Organizes and conducts webinars and online office hours to address inquiries from sales agents.
Delivers training programs in person and remotely using a variety of instructional methods, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
Evaluates customer service surveys and similar feedback to address sales agent training needs.
Collaborates with subject-matter experts to develop, improve, and document the work procedures that are used in conjunction with training programs. Ensures procedures are accessible and accurate, and that changes are documented and communicated to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
Designs learner assessments and conducts routine observations of sales agents during training periods. Reports learner progress to supervisors and management. Creates and implements development plans to address sales agent performance issues when applicable.
Conducts ongoing evaluation of training programs through surveys to determine effectiveness as measured against stated objectives. Makes recommendations for change when evaluation indicates the need for improvement.
Travels to all sales conferences and training events and occasionally to sales offices across North America to facilitate training sessions.

Skills Qualifications Required:
Proficient with MS Office programs & Canva
Strong presentation and public speaking skills

Preferred:
Knowledge of eApp, Smart Office, MS Dynamics

Education Required:
Life insurance license
3+ years of experience in sales with the life insurance industry
3+ years of experience in training design and delivery for sales teams.
Training Program Development & Instructional Design, Sales Training & Performance Coaching, Learning Evaluation & Performance Assessment, Presentation & Public Speaking.
