Job OverviewAlbertus Magnus College is seeking a dynamic, high-energy, and visionary leader to serve as the Director of the Center for Experiential Outreach. Moving beyond the traditional career services model, the college is transitioning its career office into a vibrant ecosystem hub and think tank.
The Director will lead a strategic shift to a holistic competency preparation. This individual will be a master networker and ecosystem builder, reaching directly into the city and region to pull in high-impact partnerships, align academic programs with regional workforce data, and cultivate hands-on learning environments for our students. The ideal candidate possesses a modern understanding of generational outreach, a passion for collaborative leadership, and the ability to inspire both internal academic stakeholders and external industry executives.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience spanning career services, workforce development, corporate relations, talent acquisition, and/or experiential education.
- Certification in appropriate career assessment instruments, preferred.
- Exceptional networking ability with a proven track record of securing mutually beneficial community, regional, or corporate partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, alumni, administration, faculty, staff, employers, and the public.
- High energy and a fresh communication style capable of engaging today's diverse student body, building trust, and driving engagement within a collaborative "studio" workspace.
- Solid organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to interpret regional labor market analytics and translate that data into practical skill-acquisition initiatives for students.
- Thorough working knowledge of labor market trends, occupational information, career assessment tools, and job search strategies.
- A collaborative builder who can champion institutional change, audit existing decentralized experiential programs, and deploy standardized experiential maps across academic programs.
Education:
Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Counseling or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of career development, and student development theory.
- Knowledge of administration, scoring, and interpretation of career assessment instruments.
- Knowledge of occupational information and topics appropriate to an effective job search.
- Skill in counseling techniques and applications.
- Skill in administration, scoring, and interpretation of career assessment instruments.
- Skill in research, survey development, writing reports, and program management.
- Ability to use technology, including spreadsheets, presentation software, word processing, online survey tools, e-mail lists, job portal, and database computer software.
- Ability to manage budget and other information and maintain a system of data collection and record keeping.
- Willingness to take on new tasks.
Work Schedule Requirements:
This position will entail working hours outside the traditional Monday 8:30 am to Friday 4:30 pm - weekend and evening hours will be required depending on the needs of the department.
Benefits at a Glance:
Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. They accrue between 18 and 23 days of paid time off annually. After 90 days of employment, tuition remission is available, with the college covering 100% of tuition costs (employees are responsible for books and technology fees). The college values work-life balance, offering a summer schedule from June through August.
Employees also enjoy 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. Retirement plan participation is available from your first day, with employer contributions beginning after one year of service, based on your length of employment.
