Color Guard Instructor
Reports To:
Marching Band Director and/or High School Administrator
Stipend: $4,078 season)
Schedule:
Weekly rehearsals 6:00 9:00 pm Tuesdays & Thursdays and competition days all day every Saturday. Band camp week in August (Dates TBD) 9:00 9:00; sectionals and nationals; assist with the winter program, if any; attendance at team meetings
Season:
Fall (Early September through Early November)
Experience:
Marching arts in general (color guard specifically); DCI and/or WGI experience preferred. Experience in designing color guard work and choreography preferred.
Position Summary:
The Color Guard Instructor will provide instruction, support, and supervision for the students participating in the EHHS Color Guard.
Responsibilities:
- Choreograph the color guard work for the competitive show
- Schedule rehearsals
- Adjust to feedback and results throughout the season
- Select and maintain equipment and costuming
- Assisting with member recruitment for future seasons
- Generally be a collaborative member of the design team and instructional staff
- Any other task as assigned by the Band Marching Director
