Job OverviewThe Graduate Assistant for the Men's Basketball program works under the direction of the head coach and assists with the administration of a successful Division III athletic program. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, instructing, advising, counseling, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach or Athletic Director.
Housing, Work Hours & Duties- If the GA chooses to live on campus: up to 25 hours per week, with additional responsibilities related to Athletics and Residence Life.
- If the GA does not choose housing: up to 20 hours per week, focusing primarily on Athletics‑related responsibilities.
- Assist with practice and game preparation, including video breakdown.
- Assist in monitoring the academic progress of team members in all areas.
- Assist with player development.
- Must be currently accepted in a Master program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas:
- Accounting (only two spots available)
- Business Administration
- Criminal Justice
- Management and Organizational Leadership
- Healthcare Administration (only two spots available)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Previous experience at the collegiate, club, and/or scholastic levels as a student‑athlete and/or coach.
- Knowledge of collegiate rules and a demonstrated compliance with said rules.
- Relevant work experience may be substituted to meet qualifications for the position.
