Are you frustrated watching Springfield students constrained by a system that prevents you from upholding the standards they need?

Alpha is opening a new campus in the city, and we're looking for a leader who already knows Springfield's educational landscape. You will manage a team of 15+ Guides who mentor and motivate students, while our EdTech platform delivers all academic instruction. No traditional 'teaching.' High-impact action. Pure leadership.

Your objective: guarantee that every student enjoys school, learns at twice the pace of conventional classrooms, and develops essential life competencies. This is not a conventional Principal position. You will maintain rigorous standards, make decisions grounded in data, and establish Springfield's premier school from the outset.

• Launch the Springfield, MA campus:
  Execute Alpha's three core promises for 100+ students from day one, ensuring operational excellence across all areas.
• Facilitate live workshops teaching K-8 students critical life skills:
  Conduct compelling one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange. Apply Alpha's established playbook to help students develop competencies traditional schools overlook, while keeping the experience engaging.
• Drive every student to reach 100% of their objectives:
  Develop customized motivational approaches for each individual student. Leverage data-driven methods to address resistance and sustain engagement with the Alpha platform. Success is defined by every student meeting their goals.
• Develop Guides to excellence and uphold Alpha's performance standards:
  Utilize data to pinpoint performance deficiencies, provide concrete feedback, and monitor progress. Make difficult decisions when results fall short and serve as the exemplar of quality on your campus.
• Execute data-informed campus leadership:
  Evaluate performance across personnel, operations, parent engagement, and school culture. Identify challenges, perform root cause analysis, engage stakeholders, and implement quantifiable improvements. Document every decision and refine approaches based on outcomes.

• Teaching or tutoring students. Students engage with Alpha's self-directed EdTech platform, not traditional adult-led lectures.
• Creating lesson plans or curriculum. Alpha's framework is already developed. Your role centers on execution and leadership, not instructional design.
• Overseeing budgets or recruiting staff. Centralized teams manage finance and hiring. Your focus remains exclusively on campus performance and culture.
• Serving as the subject-matter expert. This position is 80% leadership and engagement, 20% education. You motivate, the platform teaches.

Execute Alpha's three core promises: every student enjoys school, learns at double the speed, and develops critical life skills — at a newly established Springfield campus from the first day.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master's preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
• Proven track record building and leading teams of at least 15 people with complete hiring and firing authority.
• Extensive knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5 - 14.
• Demonstrated data analysis capabilities and experience applying metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Commitment to educational transformation. Conviction that the traditional system is fundamentally flawed.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: excels under pressure, flexible in evolving environments, confident building frameworks from the ground up.
• Dynamic and charismatic communicator who captures the attention of large groups of students or staff.
• Capable of connecting with K-8 students, understanding their world and interests, and modeling positive behavior.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
