Regional Multicultural Magnet School (RMMS) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our Student Support Services team and help students in Grades 2-7 thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As an Intervention Specialist, you are an active member of a multidisciplinary team helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills needed for greater independence and success.

You will:

  • Provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
  • Support students individually and in small groups
  • Help develop organization, self-regulation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Implement intervention plans and accommodations aligned with student needs
  • Collect student data and monitor progress

    Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and support staff

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Associate's Degree, completion of at least 60 college credits, or Bachelor's Degree;
    OR
  • High School Diploma and successful completion of the Para Pro Assessment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working with elementary or middle school students
  • Experience supporting academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or executive functioning needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to actively support students throughout the school day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
  • Ability to complete required de-escalation and crisis intervention training
