The Yale School of Management (SOM) is soliciting applications at all ranks (Assistant, Associate, and tenured Professor) for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Accounting.

All positions require a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Accounting. Applicants with a Ph.D. in a field that is broadly related, such as Finance or Economics, will also be considered if they have a demonstrated interest in Accounting. Individuals who are currently ABD must be awarded their degree before December 31, 2027. The selected candidate is expected to conduct high-quality research in their area of study and teach and advise students in SOM’s Ph.D., master’s, and executive education programs.

Positions are full-time and tenure-track and will be located at the Yale School of Management in New Haven, Connecticut. Appointments will be made for the 2027-28 academic year, beginning July 1, 2027. Individuals with little to no prior work experience in a full-time faculty position will be considered at the Assistant Professor rank, but more experienced applicants who have held a full-time ladder-track faculty role for a few years may be eligible for hire as Associate Professor (tenure-track) provided they meet the University's qualifications for that rank.

A Full Professor position (with tenure) requires a minimum of five years of prior experience as a full-time ladder-track faculty member.

The final candidate, upon acceptance of a contingent offer of employment/faculty appointment, may be required to disclose whether they are, or have been, the subject of any disciplinary proceeding (investigation, hearing, etc.) at previous institutions or employers, and may also be subject to a background screening. Candidates who materially misrepresent information on their resume or other application materials are ineligible for hire/appointment.

Final candidates may also be required to sign a release to allow Yale to solicit information regarding any substantiated conduct violations from current and/or past employers.
