All Saints Catholic Academy (All Saints) is seeking qualified applicants for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher 3 rd Grade for the school year
.

Grade Levels: 3rd Grade (Self-Contained Classroom)

Teach Core Subjects : (English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Religion) based on Archdiocese of Hartford and School curriculum standards.

• Implement lesson plans and daily instructional activities;
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students;
• Monitor student progress and ensure students meet academic goals and classroom expectations;
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and proactive behavior management techniques;
• Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and facilitate instruction;
• Grade assignments and maintain accurate student records; complete progress reports and report cards;
• Attend staff meetings and collaborate with colleagues;
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians as needed;
• Connect with the principal on meeting curriculum goals;
• Meet with other lower grade teachers to collaborate on effective classroom strategies;
• Create a safe, respectful and inclusive classroom environment;
• Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment;
• Follow school policies, mandated reporting laws and confidentiality standards to ensure compliance and student safety.

• Strong ability to build rapport and positive relationships with students and parents;
• Prior classroom experience working with children in an elementary school;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
• Strong effective classroom management;
• Flexibility to adapt to students’ and the school’s evolving needs;
• Passion for engaging students in core subjects;
• Follows Catholic social teachings.

• Bachelor’s degree in education with Teaching Certification;
• 3 rd Grade Teaching experience preferred;
• English and Spanish speaking;
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with his/her parish.
