Overview
G&E Partners are working with a longstanding client who is seeking a Senior Project Manager based in or open to relocate to Connecticut overseeing bridge and highway teams in Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford regions.
Who?
Our client is approaching 100 years in the heavy civil construction industry operating across CT, NJ, NY and PA with a $1B+ in backlog across the region. They re core areas of expertise are highway, bridge, rail and water/wastewater. This is a confidential search with more details being provided upon a successful application.
Where?
This position is based out of New Haven, CT with occasional travel to Bridgeport, CT.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client expectations.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Manage and supervise project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Review and approve project documents, change orders, and procurement.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and executive management.
- Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, documentation, and client handover.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and safety practices.
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years experience managing construction projects with track record of successful delivery.
- Proficiency with project management software.
- hands on management of highway and bridge projects is a MUST.
- Based in CT, NY with commutable distance to New Haven.
