The RoleSuffolk seeks a Planner to develop vertical construction project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6. The Planner will integrate 3D BIM models, lean pull planning, and linear schedule analytics to improve process flows, provide technical input, and support re‑planning and workflow sequencing.
Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with planning and developing construction schedules
- Work with Project Executives to prepare proposal and preconstruction schedules
- Use historical production data to develop activity durations and validate construction progress
- Monitor and analyze progress on detailed construction schedules of 2,500 to 5,000 activities
- Update, analyze, and report status weekly at each project site
- Reconcile discrepancies between actual and planned progress and facilitate an action plan with the project team
- Create visual schedules as needed
- Provide linear schedules to view production sequences
- Analyze repetitive workflows to ensure realistic cycle times
- Prepare concise monthly schedule narratives
- Provide monthly metrics and KPIs for executive reports
- Ensure quality and excellence by applying Suffolk's Standards of Practice
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or an applicable discipline
- Experience preparing CPM schedules for vertical construction projects
- Proficient with Oracle Primavera P6
- Able to manage multiple project schedules in the region
- Can travel to regional project sites weekly
- Willing to obtain an AACE PSP certification within 6 months of hire
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software applications
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information concisely and recommend strategies to resolve project issues
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to use appropriate techniques with various individuals
- Positive customer‑service orientation toward internal and external clients
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating a consistent commitment to work with diverse work groups

Typical duties include prolonged sitting, use of keyboard, phone, and writing; frequent standing, walking, and reaching. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work will be performed in an office environment with moderate noise as well as at job sites.

The expected salary range for this Planner position in US‑CT‑New Haven is $100,000 to $141,000 USD, with actual salaries based on skills, experience, education, and other qualifications. Compensation may differ by geography and is reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
