Role Description

The Manufacturing Engineer role at Nex Move Talent  is a full-time, on-site position based in New Haven, CT. The Manufacturing Engineer will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in production operations. This role involves analyzing workflows, implementing process improvements, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. The individual will troubleshoot equipment and process issues, develop tooling and fixtures, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

The Manufacturing Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, support new product introductions, and collaborate with mechanical, industrial, and production teams to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Engineering principles.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Industrial Engineering, including workflow optimization and production systems analysis.
  • Candidates should possess a background in Mechanical Engineering, including understanding of mechanical design and production equipment.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Machining and related shop‑floor practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a production or factory environment, with demonstrated contributions to process improvement and cost reduction, is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools, data analysis, and basic project management methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
