- Perform, oversee and execute all aspects of business valuation engagements, including development of financial analysis, valuation models, exhibits and reports.
- Review, analyze and compare valuations of opposing experts.
- Communicate and work with a broad client base consisting of private equity firms, publicly‑traded companies, venture‑backed companies, etc.
- Ability to learn and perform business and derivative valuations using option pricing models and Monte‑Carlo analysis.
- Participate in client assignments from beginning to end.
- Identify and communicate case issues, findings, and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during engagements.
- Work with discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission to courts, attorneys and clients.
- Assist in preparation of exhibits and background information for expert witness testimony.
- Maintain and comply with highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct.
- Participate in training and developing staff and building a team‑centered client service team; monitor client issues related to compliance services and monitor engagement status and profitability as well as attending to client expectation.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Experience valuing alternative asset managers such as hedge funds and private equity.
- Knowledgeable of the relevant statutory and family codes, and their applicability to valuation standards and accounting principles in performance of forensic accounting.
- Must have active ASA, CFA, CPA or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
- 5 years supervisory experience.
- Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
- Proficient use of applicable technology.
- Must be able to travel based on business needs.
