Position: School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | New Haven, Connecticut

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available in New Haven, CT, working onsite in a school setting. This contract position begins ASAP and runs through June 9, 2026, offering a consistent schedule from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

The role involves providing speech and language support within an inclusive elementary school environment, where about 50 students currently receive services across a range of disability categories. While there are no specialized classrooms, the diverse caseload offers a varied and rewarding experience. The number of students may fluctuate during the contract period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students within the school setting
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to support student needs in inclusion classrooms
  • Maintain accurate documentation and caseload management
  • Participate in progress monitoring and individualized education program (IEP) development
Qualifications
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required; candidates completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) year will be considered
  • No Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) will be accepted
  • School-based experience is essential
  • Active Connecticut state license to practice as an SLP
  • Completion of district fingerprinting and background check

Working onsite at the elementary school in New Haven provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a diverse student population within a supportive school community.
