Responsibilities
  • Daily/Monthly Operations
    • Develops and distributes monthly staffing schedule ensuring patient access and throughput.
  • Human Resources
    • Responsible for traveler/agency technologist screening, vetting and obtaining any leadership approvals for traveler staff.
  • Administrative
    • Demonstrates leadership skills and professional development as evidenced by direct supervision and feedback.
  • Clinical/Training/Technical
    • Supports clinical operations as needed to ensure continuity of staffing.

    • Coordinates and supports Neurophysiology Safety and Quality Committee.

    • Other duties as assigned based on business and clinical need per the discretion of the Program Director, Neurophysiology.
Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree required in a health care related field.

Experience

  • Five (5) years of progressive clinical experience performing complex neurodiagnostic procedures in newborn/neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations within the hospital, EMU, ICU and/or outpatient setting.
  • Two (2) years clinical preceptor/supervisory and/or leadership experience required in clinical neurophysiology or related fields including but not limited to electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), long-term monitoring (LTM), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and/or polysomnography (PSG).

Licensure

  • Current BLS certification.
  • Must hold two (2) of the following credentials in neurodiagnostic technology / clinical neurophysiology: REEGT*, REPT*, CLTM*, NA-CLTM*, CNIM*, CAP*, CMEG*, RNCST**, RPSGT***, and/or DABNM****.
Special Skills

Demonstrated sound judgment and complex decision making, critical thinking, ability to motivate and supervise others. Proficiency with use of databases, office software, and performance metrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and strategize. EMR experience required (Epic preferred).

Physical Demand

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee's vision must include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
