EMPLOYER INFORMATION Clifford Beers Community Care Center (CBCCC) is a mental health clinic serving children and families. Our mission is to provide integrated services addressing mental, physical, and social determinants in order to improve health, resiliency and quality of life for children, families and communities.

PURPOSE The IICAPS Clinician provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and case management services to children and adolescents ages 8 through 17 and their families. As a member of a multidisciplinary IICAPS treatment team, the Clinician works collaboratively with clients, families, providers, educators, and other key community stakeholders to support stabilization, strengthen family functioning, and promote positive outcomes.

The Clinician delivers services in accordance with IICAPS model standards and agency requirements, utilizing strength-based, solution-focused, family-centered, trauma-informed, attachment-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approaches. Services are provided primarily in clients’ homes, schools, hospitals, and other community-based settings.

WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time union position. The position generally follows the program’s regular operating schedule; however, flexibility is required to meet program, family, and organizational needs. Employees may be required to work evenings, weekends, or other nontraditional hours as assigned or in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct program-specific screenings and comprehensive clinical evaluations and formulate diagnoses in accordance with the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).Develop and document clear clinical formulations, crisis plans, safety plans, and individualized, measurable treatment plans in collaboration with the client, family, and other relevant members of the treatment team.

Provide individual, family-based, caregiver, and systems-focused clinical interventions in accordance with the IICAPS model, established treatment goals, and identified client and family needs.

Apply knowledge of child and adolescent psychopathology, behavioral health conditions, family systems, child development, trauma, attachment, and appropriate psychotherapeutic interventions to clinical assessment and treatment.

Assess and triage clinical emergencies and implement program-specific risk assessment, safety, crisis intervention, and consultation protocols.

Utilize evidence-based and best-practice treatment approaches and maintain fidelity to IICAPS model standards and program expectations.

Provide clinical services in clients’ homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, and other community locations as required by the program and the needs of the client and family.

Maintain knowledge of internal and external levels of care, community resources, and referral processes. Make clinically appropriate referrals in a timely manner and coordinate care across behavioral health, medical, educational, child welfare, and community systems.

Meet established direct-service productivity expectations in accordance with program and agency requirements.

Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, families, internal team members, schools, healthcare providers, community partners, and other individuals involved in the client’s care.

Attend and actively participate in required agency, department, program, and quarterly meetings and training.

Maintain knowledge of program, department, and agency goals and target outcomes and adhere to established practice standards, data collection requirements, and reporting protocols.
