American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 4+ years of experience and ARRT (M) certification to work across multiple outpatient and hospital‑based imaging sites within a large academic Level I Trauma Center health system in the New Haven, CT area.
Requirements- Minimum of 4 years of Mammography Technologist experience required
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
- Current BLS required
- Experience with Hologic mammography equipment required
- Trauma center experience at a large facility required
- State license required if applicable; pending licenses accepted but must be active prior to start date
- 1 reference required for consideration
- Work across 4 imaging sites, including a main campus cancer hospital and three satellite medical centers located within 15 minutes of the main facility
- Sites include locations in New Haven, North Haven, and Guilford, CT; some sites have evening hours until 8:30 PM
- Monday through Friday shifts from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with as‑needed shifts from 12:00-8:30 PM, and every other Saturday from 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- When scheduled on a Saturday, a weekday off will be provided; schedule is posted one week in advance
- Charting via Epic
- Cross‑training as a Breast Sonographer is preferred
- First‑time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO exceeding 7 days requires facility approval
- Teal scrub tops and bottoms are required
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination and booster are required, with religious or medical exemptions considered
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
- Parking is available at an additional cost of approximately $125/month
