Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of trauma experience.

• RRT and ACLS certifications required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required (1.5 years considered with Level I Trauma or travel experience)
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Preferred experience with NRP and PALS certifications
• Preferred experience with Hamilton C6 ventilator and extracorporeal therapies
• License required if applicable
• 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine booster required with religious or medical exemption only

• NICU unit within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Must float between two nearby campuses connected by a shuttle
• No self-scheduling or special scheduling accommodations permitted; schedules assigned based on unit staffing needs
• No on-call requirement
• Epic charting system used
• Provide respiratory care services to critically ill neonatal patients in the NICU
• Work within a large academic medical center with 1,567 staffed beds
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Travelers are expected to clock in early and report promptly for shift huddle
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Travelers must be gone from facility for 2 years before returning in a travel role
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
