The Senior Manager, OT Cybersecurity is responsible for developing and executing the cybersecurity strategy for Operational Technology (OT) environments across the Americas division. This role serves as the business owner for OT cyber risk, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and business leaders to protect critical production systems, industrial control systems (ICS), and operational processes from cyber threats. The successful candidate will lead the division's OT cybersecurity program, establishing standards, risk management practices, and security controls that protect safety, production uptime, business continuity, and revenue-generating operations.
This role requires a strong blend of cybersecurity leadership, industrial operations knowledge, and executive communication This role will be based onsite on a full-time basis in New Haven, CT. Travel up to 75% is required.
Develop and maintain the Americas OT Cybersecurity Strategy aligned with corporate cybersecurity objectives and business priorities.
Establish OT cybersecurity standards, policies, and control frameworks based on ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and industry best practices.
Drive the long-term OT security roadmap and investment strategy.
Ensure cybersecurity requirements are embedded into factory modernization and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
OT Risk ManagementEstablish and maintain a comprehensive OT cyber risk management program.
Identify, classify, and prioritize OT Crown Jewels and mission-critical manufacturing assets.
Conduct OT risk assessments and translate technical findings into business impact and operational risk language.
Maintain executive-level visibility of OT cyber risks and remediation progress.
Operational Resilience & Business ContinuityLead efforts to improve cyber resilience for manufacturing and operational environments.
Develop recovery strategies for ransomware, destructive malware, and operational disruption scenarios.
Ensure OT disaster recovery and business continuity requirements are documented, tested, and maintained.
Partner with plant leadership to improve operational resilience and recovery readiness.
Security Architecture & Technical OversightProvide strategic direction for:
Network segmentation Secure remote access Industrial asset inventory PAM solutions Vulnerability management OT monitoring and detection capabilities
Review and approve OT cybersecurity architectures for new facilities, acquisitions, and technology deployments.
Drive continuous improvement of OT security controls and protective technologies.
Incident Response & Crisis ManagementServe as the senior cybersecurity leader for OT-related security incidents.
Coordinate cross-functional response activities involving Operations, IT, Engineering, and external partners.
Lead post-incident reviews and lessons-learned initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong partnerships with:
Manufacturing leadership Plant managers Engineering teams Supply chain leaders Regional IT organizations Global Cybersecurity teams
Provide executive reporting on OT cyber risk, program maturity, and strategic initiatives.
Influence security investment decisions through data-driven business cases.
Program DevelopmentDevelop OT cybersecurity metrics, KPIs, and maturity measurements.
Lead OT cybersecurity assessments across manufacturing and operational facilities.
Drive awareness and cybersecurity culture within operational teams.
Support M&A integrations and due diligence activities related to OT environments.
What we are looking forBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years of cybersecurity, industrial control systems, or operational technology experience.
5+ years of leadership experience managing security programs, projects, or teams.
Deep understanding of:
Industrial Control Systems (ICS) SCADA environments Manufacturing Operations Industrial Networking OT Security Architecture Experience implementing cybersecurity controls within operational or manufacturing environments.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%).
Preferred QualificationsCISSP, GICSP, CISM, CRISC, IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent certifications.
Experience with in global manufacturing organizations.
Familiarity with: NIST CSF NIST 800-82 ISA/IEC 62443 MITRE ATT&CK forICS NIS2 Experience supporting M&A integrations and manufacturing modernization initiatives.
Understanding of AI and emerging cyber risks impacting industrial environments.
