OverviewUnder the guidance of the Director of the NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute (QLCI) Practiqal program, and reporting to the Managing Director of the Yale Quantum Institute (YQI), spearhead, implement, and execute the development of this new QLCI. Practiqal, centered at Yale, focuses on advancing the state of the art in quantum error correction research, partnering with 9 other institutions and 25 investigators.
The program manager will coordinate the workforce, education, and teaming, and programming activities of the QLCI and YQI . For the QLCI, in conjunction with the relevant thrust leads, serve as part of the executive committee, act as a liaison to the external evaluation team, and assist with center-wide and thrust-level programming, evaluation, external relations, and visibility and communication. Other activities will be conducted under the supervision of the YQI Director and managing director.

- 5. Strong written, editing, and oral communication skills; ability to think analytically and articulate ideas in verbal and written communications with special emphasis on conceiving communication strategy, advanced writing ability, and editorial precision and consistency.

- 1.Experience in management position at a research organization,scientific institute. or academic setting with growing responsibilities in the area of research management.

- 3.Demonstrated skills in entrepreneurial program development and establishing relationships with external partners.
- 1. Oversees the advancement and growth of the program. Gives direction and leadership supporting the philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives. Assumes primary accountability for disseminating and publishing all program information to create public awareness and support of the program.
- 2. Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans.
- 3. Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations to assist in the development and growth of the program. Develops the metrics to identify and measure the success of the program. Responsible for measurements of grant success and related evaluation.
