Presco Engineering is expanding their production and engineering teams for bio‑medical electronics, scientific instruments, drop‑on‑demand printers, IoT devices, high power lasers, handheld spectrometers and a host of other exciting products.

We are currently seeking a Buyer looking for fast‑paced, exciting work in a high‑mix/low‑volume manufacturing and engineering environment. Every day, we’re tasked with designing and manufacturing complex products for major tech firms and innovative startups. We have a small manufacturing team supported by a robust engineering group that focuses on new product design for our clients. For 48 years, we have been a prominent technology leader with a proven track record of success.

• 5+ years of buying experience.
• Experience using MRP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new software.
• Presco to provide on‑the‑job training.
• A valid Driver’s License.

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy of quantities, pricing, and specifications.
• Communicate with suppliers to expedite deliveries and address supplier quality issues.
• Use MRP system to maintain inventory for manufactured goods.
• Communicate across departments to ensure orders are placed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize BOMs and engineering drawings to generate RFQs and perform purchasing activities.
• Assist with kitting for engineering and manufacturing jobs.
• Perform receiving activities through our MRP system.
  
  Occasional delivery of parts to local vendors.
• Reports to the Purchasing Manager.
