QC Inspector – Aerospace Precision Machining / GD&T
2nd Shift | $35/hr - $45/hr | New Haven County, CT | Full-Time
Inspect tight-tolerance aerospace components in a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing environment with advanced inspection equipment and long-term stability.
What You’ll Be Doing- Perform detailed inspections of precision aerospace machined components
- Inspect first articles (FAI) and first-piece production parts
- Interpret and apply GD&T requirements from engineering drawings and blueprints
- Use precision inspection tools including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Height gauges
- Bore gauges
CMM equipment
- Verify part conformance to tight tolerances and customer specifications
- Document inspection results and non-conformances accurately
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Maintain compliance with internal quality procedures and aerospace standards
- 5+ years of QC inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience performing FAI / first-piece inspections
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- CMM programming or automated inspection system experience
- Quality certifications (CQI or similar)
- Aerospace Precision Work: Tight-tolerance, high-spec components
- Modern Facility: 30,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled shop built in 2012
