Position: Quality Control Inspector – GD&T / Aerospace Machining

QC Inspector – Aerospace Precision Machining / GD&T

2nd Shift | $35/hr - $45/hr | New Haven County, CT | Full-Time

Inspect tight-tolerance aerospace components in a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing environment with advanced inspection equipment and long-term stability.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform detailed inspections of precision aerospace machined components
  • Inspect first articles (FAI) and first-piece production parts
  • Interpret and apply GD&T requirements from engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Use precision inspection tools including:
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Height gauges
    • Bore gauges

      CMM equipment
  • Verify part conformance to tight tolerances and customer specifications
  • Document inspection results and non-conformances accurately
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with internal quality procedures and aerospace standards
What You Need
  • 5+ years of QC inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience performing FAI / first-piece inspections
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques

    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members
Preferred Experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • CMM programming or automated inspection system experience
  • Quality certifications (CQI or similar)
